Abstract

The objective of this study was to assess the two methods of color choice for vital teeth. Fifty patients were selected following the pre-established criteria. The assessment of color was performed on the central incisors. To assess the color of the teeth, two methods were used: the Vita Clássica color scale (Vita-Zahnfabrik, Germany) (visual assessment) and the Easyshade spectrophotometer (Vita-Zahnfabrik, Germany) (instrumental assessment). The prevalence occurred in the A2 color and proved to be equal for both methods. It could therefore be concluded that there was no difference between the two methods used to measure color.
