Resumo

Este artigo encerra o propósito de confrontar o conceito clássico (substancialista) de capital social com as proposições teóricas e metodológicas da Análise de Redes Sociais (ARS) sobre esse tipo de capital para, ao abrigo da concepção de migração como processo de deslocamento no espaço geográfico, compreender, formalmente, o papel desempenhado pelos “mecanismos intermediários” no sistema migratório internacional Brasil/EUA.
