Revisão sistemática de instrumentos para avaliação do otimismo na infância

O construto do otimismo tem sido considerado sob duas perspectivas: o estilo explicativo otimista, relacionado ao modo como o indivíduo explica os eventos que acontecem em sua vida; e o otimismo disposicional, referente às expectativas positivas generalizadas quanto ao futuro. Devido ao entendimento do construto como uma variável desenvolvimental, esta revisão sistemática da literatura teve como objetivo identificar os instrumentos disponíveis reportados em estudos empíricos para avaliação do otimismo na infância. As buscas eletrônicas foram realizadas por meio das bases de dados PsycInfo, PubMed, Web of Science e Scopus. Foram encontrados 1.097 artigos, dos quais 37 preencheram os critérios de inclusão. O Youth Life Orientation Test (YLOT) foi o instrumento mais utilizado na avaliação do otimismo na infância, seguido pelo Children’s Attributional Style Questionnaire (CASQ), Revised Life Orientation Test (LOT-R) e Parent-Rated Life Orientation Test (PLOT). Apenas um instrumento encontrado foi construído no Brasil, lacuna que indica que essa área ainda tem muito a ser desenvolvida no país.
