Organização e Representação do Domínio da Sustentabilidade Um Arranjo Metodológico

Abstract
Nos últimos anos, tem-se observado um crescente debate e uma proliferação de informações sobre sustentabilidade em todo o mundo. No Brasil, o discurso sobre sustentabilidade abrange múltiplos domínios — incluindo os setores jornalístico, corporativo e científico. Consequentemente, há uma necessidade premente de sistematizar o conhecimento acumulado sobre esse tema. Como iniciativa do Laboratório de Informação para Sustentabilidade (LIS) do Instituto Brasileiro de Informação em Ciência e Tecnologia (IBICT), este estudo empregou Linguística de Corpus e Processamento de Linguagem Natural (PLN) para mapear e organizar o conhecimento linguístico sobre sustentabilidade no Brasil. Utilizando um corpus de aproximadamente 50 milhões de palavras, abrangendo cinco gêneros textuais, candidatos a termo foram extraídos e posteriormente validados por especialistas do IBICT. Esses termos foram organizados em conjuntos temáticos e classificados semanticamente com apoio do Agrovoc. O mapa conceitual resultante foi transformado em uma estrutura dinâmica, publicada no portal do LIS. Este artigo apresenta o desenvolvimento desse produto terminológico por meio de uma proposta metodológica interdisciplinar, detalhando os resultados e os desafios enfrentados.
