Lazer, cultura e patrimônio ambiental urbano – relações e possibilidades

Resumo

RESUMO: O texto trata das relações entre lazer, cultura e patrimônio ambiental
urbano, a partir do entendimento da cidade como patrimônio coletivo. Faz-se uma
abordagem histórica do entendimento do conceito de patrimônio histórico e cultural,
chegando-se ao de patrimônio ambiental urbano, que transcende aos critérios de
“monumentalidade” e singularidade, e não se restringe às obras, mas leva em conta o
entorno e seu significado, levando em conta também o patrimônio imaterial. Dessa
perspectiva a participação comunitária e o lazer podem se constituir em poderoso
instrumento de valorização, conservação e revitalização, a partir de Políticas Públicas de
Lazer, que incluam, entre outros aspectos, a educação patrimonial.

LEISURE, CULTURE AND URBAN ENVIRONMENTAL HERITAGE –
RELATIONSHIPS AND POSSIBILITIES
ABSTRACT: The text talks about the relationships among leisure, culture and urban
environmental heritage, according to the understanding of the city as collective heritage.
A historical approach of the understanding of the cultural and historical heritage
concept is made, getting to the understanding of the urban environmental heritage
concept, which transcends the “monumentality” and singularity criteria, and does not
only restrict to the buildings, but also considers the surroundings, its meaning, and the
immaterial heritage. From this perspective, the community participation and the leisure
can be powerful instrument for valuing, conserving and revitalizing, through Leisure
Public Policies, which include, besides other aspects, the heritage education.
