Algumas aproximações possíveis entre lazer e religião

Resumo

RESUMO: A proposta deste artigo é de fomentar reflexões sobre as relações entre o
lazer e a religião, sem a pretensão de esgotar as discussões e as possibilidades de análise
das relações entre estas duas temáticas tão polêmicas, destacando elementos que
consideramos essenciais para qualquer estudo que procure aprofundar-se em aspectos
específicos de suas relações. Buscamos destacar algumas relações apresentadas por
autores que procuraram discutir o lazer, verificando os possíveis vínculos deste com a
religião. Sob algumas perspectivas da relação lazer e religião, ficam evidentes a
complexa tarefa de conciliar o prazer possível, presente potencialmente no lazer, com a
religião. Para algumas concepções religiosas, a convivência entre as duas temáticas é
possível com certas restrições; para outras há uma enorme oposição entre ambas, pois
uma ameaça o tempo dedicado à outra; e ainda há a possibilidade da relação plena,
harmônica e necessária entre ambas. Vale destacar a importância da aproximação que a
teoria do lazer e a teologia devem buscar no afã de encontrar uma nova síntese
comprometida com a vida e a serviço da dignidade humana. A religião age de maneira
determinante na forma como o lazer se concretiza, assim como o lazer pode gerar
valores que questionem ou legitimem determinadas práticas religiosas.

POSSIBLE APPROACHES TO LEISURE AND RELIGION
ABSTRACT: The proposal of this article is to foment reflections between the
relationship of leisure religion, without the aim of limiting the discussions and the
possibilities of analysis of the relationship among these two controversial themes, by
highlighting elements that we considered essential for any study that tries to expand in
specific aspects of this relationship. We looked to detach some interactions presented by
authors that tried to discuss leisure, verifying the possible bonds of this with religion.
Through these relationship perspectives of leisure and religion, it is evident that task of
reconciling possible pleasure with religion is complex. For some religious conceptions,
the coexistence among the two themes is possible with certain restrictions; for others
there is an enormous opposition among both, because of the threat the time dedicated to
one will take time away from the other; and there is still the possibility of the full
relationship being harmonic and necessary among both religion and leisure. It is worth
noticing the importance of the approach of both the theory of leisure and theology
should look for in finding a new synthesis committed life and to service of human
dignity. Religion acts in a decisive way in the way that leisure is practiced, just as leisure
can generate values that question or legitimate certain religious practices.
