Author Guidelines

Preparation of manuscripts

  • Texts

The texts should be written in Arial 12, with double spacing, following the structure below:

  1. From the first page on, in sequence, the title (bold, centered) full name of the author (s), institutional link, address (mailbox, post office, zip code, city and state, email).
  2. Summary: Single paragraph, without references, with a maximum of 250 words, followed by keywords (minimum 3, maximum 5, uppercase).
  3. Abstract: It should start with the title of the work translated into English (in capital letters), and follow the same pattern as the abstract with 3 to 5 keywords at the end.
  4. Text Body: It is suggested to divide the text into clear and objective sections, which reflect the logical linkage of the research (Problem Characterization, Contextualization, Material and Methods, Results, Conclusions). Excessive use of abbreviations and the use of colloquial, unscientific language should be avoided.
  5. Acknowledgments: If it is the case, the acknowledgments should be succinct and come in a separate paragraph, before the bibliographic references.
  6. References: At the end of the text, order the references in alphabetical order of the surname of the first author. Internal reports will be accepted in references, with the exception of those that are widely disseminated in the scientific community and authorized by consultants. Geonomos uses the same standard of bibliographic normalization of the Brazilian Journal of Geosciences, according to the following models:
