Abstract

This review aims to present and analyze the work organized by the authors Tony Jeffs and Jon Ord entitled “Rethinking Outdoor, Experimental and Informal Education: Beyond the Confines” published in 2018 by Routledge. Throughout the eleven chapters of this book, several specialists in nature-based activities, sometimes developed in wild environments, from the perspective of experimental and informal education. This is a valuable compilation for students from diverse fields of knowledge, under a highly multidisciplinary, and, collectively, a great reference for researchers in the field who, in the long term, should focus on lasting, non-dichotomous and, above all, transformative experiences.
