Abstract

This text is the result of a study performed by GEFuT – Grupo de Estudos sobre Futebol e Torcidas – about twelve Associations of Football Fans in Minas Gerais, Brazil. The present study sought for inter- and intra-relations as well as manifestations between society and the AFF organization of Atlético, Cruzeiro and Ipatinga football clubs which were on the National First League in 2008. Stadiums have been visited and the directors of the previous AFFs have been interviewed. Therefore, the AFFs revealed themselves heterogeneous. This highlights the necessity of further investigations in order to comprehend and to promote efficient public policies for the mentioned Associations.
