The present study deals with problems related to the Systematics and Zoogeography of opossums (Didelphis), in Eastern Brazil. The nomenclature of the three species D. albiventris Lund, 1841; D. marsupialis Linnaeus, 1758, and D. virginiana Kerr, 1972 were discussed, and contributions to Biometry and Geographical Distribution are made. In this paper, the study of the local distribution patterns of D. albiventris Lund, 1841; D. marsupialis in the State of Minas Gerais, Brazil, is emphasized.
