For the first time, Brueelia addoloratoi (Phthiraptera: Ischnocera: Philopteridae) and Myrsidea elegans (Phthiraptera: Amblycera: Menoponidae) are recorded in Brazil, infesting the feathers of Turdus rufiventris.
