Metalinguagem em Dáfnis e Cloé, de Longo, a partir de algumas aproximações com as Bucólicas, de Virgílio

Esse trabalho busca oferecer algumas aproximações entre as obras Dáfnis e Cloé, de Longo, e as Bucólicas, de Virgílio, centrando- se, ao fim, na análise de um trecho daquele em que se pode fazer uma leitura metalinguística embasada no uso de certos elementos da tradição compartilhados e desenvolvidos pelos poemas virgilianos. A partir da aplicação dos tria genera dicendi a personagens, presente em comentadores, nota-se o compartilhamento, entre os autores, de uma hierarquia entre cabreiros, ovelheiros e boieiros, que se estende também à poética. Por meio da análise vocabular do texto de Longo, é possível depreender que, ao evocar essa hierarquia pastoral num contexto de comentário sobre composição poética, Longo estaria comentando sua própria composição, e como ela, um romance grego de amor e bucólico, se articula com as definições genéricas tradicionais como um gênero múltiplo, híbrido.
