Abstract

This study aimed to analyze women’s participation in approved projects in the Universal public notice CNPq and Fapemig in the Studies of Leisure and Sports field from 2010 to 2016. This is a qualitative study, developed through documentary research. Data were requested from 2010 to 2016, in the Citizen Information Service (e-SIC) platform. The projects were selected through gender filter and with the keywords “Lazer”; “Esporte”, “Desporto; “Esportiva(o)”. To ensure the methodological quality, the process was replicated by two researchers, based on the Search Protocol. As a result, 143 projects are male authored and 65 female authored by the sum of the two areas. Regarding projects with the term “Leisure”, 17 projects from male researchers and 19 from women researchers were found. There are 80 approved projects of male authorship with the theme “Sport”, and only 22 approved written by women researchers Considering gender inequalities in society, as well as in the Academy, it is necessary to stimulate and ensure more equal participation between researchers in different areas of knowledge
