PORTRAITS OF A SUSPENDED CULTURAL HERITAGE

Abstract

In this article, we intend to present a current picture about soccer as a cultural heritage. The research was developed in order to contribute to the soccer debate and reflect on the relevance that this theme has achieved in recent years. The methodology used was bibliographic research on an online basis, organized by search terms, divided into categories that aimed to guide and facilitate the analysis of academic production. Despite some contradictions found in the studies analyzed, it is considered that there is the inauguration of a discussion that is still incipient in the studies of football. In this sense, the importance of building a theoretical framework capable of encompassing the complexity of this theme is emphasized, valuing measures that effectively collaborate for the protection of the materialities and immaterialities of this dynamic, affective and community heritage.
