Abstract

The field of leisure has several intersections, one of which is through training and action and its aspect with Tourism. Thus, this investigation sought to understand and identify the training and intervention processes of tourism monitors who work in the public parks of the Tourist Resort in Salto – SP. We carried out a literature search; investigation in the documents that regulate the policies of spaces and leisure facilities in the municipality and; we applied a questionnaire with the subjects who work in the parks. Five tourism monitors from the city of Salto participated in the study, three men and two women, aged between 18 and 50 years. They operate in four parks, Parque das Lavras, Rocha Montonneé, Ilha da Usina and the Memorial Park of the Tietê River. As a result, we point out that the monitors value the natural essence of the city's parks, indicate the need for security, financial investment and educational processes so that the structure of the parks can improve and be better used by the Saltense community and by tourists.
