Abstract

The goal of this work was to outline an overview of the adventure market in Belo Horizonte according to the perception of managers responsible for consolidated companies in the area. To reach that objective, interviews were made with them. It was identified that there is no specific training among professionals in the area, which is based on practice and passion for adventure. Technical knowledge, the ability to foresee and deal with risky situations and proactivity are valued; a degree in Physical Education is mentioned as desirable. Finally, the market is said to be in the making and they believe in its capacity for development, despite setting different deadlines for this. We believe that the pandemic should cause changes in this market’s process.
