LEISURE ACTIVITIES IN HOSPITAL CONTEXT : A HUMANIZATION STRATEGY

This study is an exploratory research, conducted at the Clinical Hospital of Paraná - UFPR. Thirteen hospitalized women for over a week in UMRN (Women's and Newborn Unit) have participated in this study. The research aimed to develop leisure activities in the hospital environment and analyze how and. The experience was significant point of view personal and affective. Observed was found that the Women Research Participants have interests in leisure activities , however, in his natural environment, can not gather free time to perform, they them due to their commitments with home management, work and children’s care. However, when the activity was proposal without hospital as they show interest, engagement and Volition, bringing up an intrinsic Motivation According to its characteristics, recovering autonomy and providing feeling of smoothing to the hospitalization experience and increasing the sense of continuity of life. The benefits brought by this proposal are in accord with the guidelines of the Hospital Humanization Policy.Downloads
