In contemporary times, where the longevity phenomenon lives, think about the advanced age and life quality is, in a sense, "think about a population that must find a way of achievement during idleness time, or in any case, about a time that is socially considered as idleness time” (CUENCA, 2009, p. 243). This article aims to present part of an empirical investigation developed within the scope of Cultural Studies – The "clownear" as a recreational and creative experience potentiator of life in old age – which aimed to: investigate how a creation process of clown applied with elderly people can enable well-being and life quality. In this investigation our challenge was to create a fun and pleasurable space/time, dedicated to the re-creation of essential values for a quality old age, with freedom, autonomy, self-acceptance, self-esteem, self-knowledge, self-expression and the self-realization in which the physical, mental, social and cultural components cover all fields of satisfaction and fulfillment. These values point to idleness and to the urgent claims of the elderlies, such as: the subjectivity, the social interaction, health, cognitive efficiency, well-being and life satisfaction.
