“MINHA CASA, MINHA VIDA... MEU LAZER”: REFLECTION ABOUT THE LEISURE IN A URBAN POPULAR HOUSING PROJECT

In the study about the house development of Residencial Colina da Alvorada I, located in the city of Parnaíba/Piauí, it is noticed the habits of leisure of the residence population, the quality of the urban space and the perception of leisure’s importance in these people’s lives. The resident area was financed by the federal program “Minha Casa, Minha Vida” and besides the conclusion of the construction in 2015, it doesn’t dispose of any space or formal equipment of leisure yet. In the partial conclusion of the study, was analyzed a sample of 25% of the families residents in the local, through an interview, 141 dwellers from different homes, who informed their leisure habits, the frequency and favorite places; the personal understanding of the leisure’s meaning, the main aspects that difficult its leisure, their rating on the spaces of leisure in the neighborhood and suggestions for improvement. “Minha Casa, Minha Vida...Meu Lazer” is a study that reveals the necessity in collecting data centered on the person and their home, because according with the conclusion of the research, the residence represents predominant local (41,1%) between the spaces of leisure for the low income population.
