MAPPING OF THE URBAN PUBLIC AREA S OF LEISURE IN THE CITY OF CAPITAIN POÇO PA

Abstract

The present research is about the public spaces of leisure in the city of Captain Poço PA, aiming to invest igate what the urbane leisure spaces are in the public extent existing in the city. The study sought to carry out the mapping of urban leisure spaces describing its characteristics through observation. It is a qualitative research strategy, with descriptiv e character, having like technical procedure used the field work with systematic observation, not participant. A road map was used to observe the spaces for data collection, adapted from Barboza (2016). In order to deal with the information, we opted for t he content analysis process. They were identified, apped by the researchers in the urban public area of the city only five leisure spaces. It was emphasized the fact that the spaces designated the possible leisure practices offered by the municipal public sphere of the city are neglected by several factors that are revealed among other priorities posed by the population in general.
