A tipologia de tópicos no português brasileiro na interface entre sintaxe e estrutura informacional

Este artigo investiga a distribuição sintática e as condições de licenciamento de tópicos aboutness (–shifting), tópicos de informação dada e tópicos contrastivos no português brasileiro, a partir da tipologia de Frascarelli e Hinterhölzl (2007) e Bianchi e Frascarelli (2010). A investigação busca determinar quais tipos de tópicos podem aparecer nos seguintes contextos sintáticos: em posição canônica (i.e., sem alteração da ordem básica dos constituintes da sentença), deslocado para a periferia esquerda da sentença, deslocado para a posição pós-verbal na periferia de vP e deslocado à direita em posição final. Com base nas observações empíricas, o texto discute as condições de licenciamento de cada tipo de tópico e argumenta que apenas os tópicos do tipo aboutness(-shifting) estão sujeitos a uma bipartição da sentença em tópico-comentário, ao passo que tópicos de informação dada e tópicos contrastivos são licenciados com base em sua posição relativa ao foco da sentença. Ao final, o artigo propõe um mapeamento das posições marcadas de tópicos no português brasileiro e defende uma visão contextual para o fenômeno.
