O Estatuto dos Nominais Pós-Verbais dos Verbos Inacusativos

Resumo

ln this paper, written in the framework of the PrincipIes and Parameters Theory, we propose an altemative anaIysis for post-verbaI constituents of inaccusative verbs, on the basis of Brazilian Portuguese data. Basically, we anaIyze these constituents as predicative constructions and we extend this anaIysis to all constructions which contain the so-called "definitude effect".
