Abstract

Becoming is a fundamental concept in the philosophy of Gilles Deleuze and Félix Guattari; however, becoming is inseparable from the repressed concept of returning (le revenir). In this article, returning is defined as the pure existence of the outside. It is this outside, buried in the strata of time, that revolutionary politics needs today.
