Resumo

In order to analyze the effect of a moving wall on experimental thrust systems, the progressive evolutionof antiformal stacks was simulated in sandbox models. The rigid, acrylic moving wall was substituted byanalogue material. Different boundary conditions demonstrated that in physical models the use of thehabitual stiff wall obstructs the development of the real architecture of compressional tectonics.
