Abstract

The article discusses the beginnings of the reception of Ludwik Fleck’s theory of thought styles and thought collectives in Polish, from his first polemics with Izydora Dąmbska in 1936 to the first edition of the Polish translation of Entstehung und Entwicklung.

    Paweł Jarnicki wrote his dissertation titled "Metaphorical conceptualizations of the concept of «text» and changes of thought styles in history and theory of literature" in 2012 in Polish at Faculty of Polish Philology (University of Wroclaw, Poland). His main fields of scientific interest are: the problem of metaphor in science, Ludwik Fleck's philosophy of science and eugenics. Since 04.2013 fo 08.2016 he was principal investigator in the project realised in cooperation between Project Science Foundation (Wroclaw, Poland, Paweł is member of the Board) and Ludwik Fleck Zentrum (Zürich, Switzerland, Paweł was associated researcher).
