Author Guidelines

Guidelines for Article Submission

Below are the rules for submitting articles. Failure to comply with any of the requirements will result in the rejection of the submission.

1. Submission Requirements

a) Only unpublished works that are not simultaneously under review by other journals will be accepted.

b) Publication is free of charge and does not provide any remuneration to the authors, with open access to the public.

c) The opinions expressed in the texts are the sole responsibility of the authors.

d) At the time of submission, it is mandatory to fill in all the fields required by the platform, including:

  • Title

  • Abstract

  • Keywords

  • References

  • Funding agencies (if any)

  • Author contributions

  • Complete author details: full name, e-mail, ORCID, country, short biography, and completed academic degree.

The journal reserves the right to verify the information in the Lattes curriculum or request additional clarifications.

To register the ORCID, replace “https” with “http” (e.g., http://orcid.org/XXXX).

e) The article may be authored by up to three (3) authors, listed in order from the highest to the lowest level of academic degree.

f) Approved authors authorize grammatical and editorial revisions, as well as adaptations to their biography, if necessary.

g) There should be no authorship identification in the body of the article. 

2. File Formatting

a) File format: .doc (or compatible with Microsoft Word), with a maximum size of 5MB.

b) Manuscript length: between 15 and 18 pages, including references.

c) Margins: 2.5 cm on all sides.

d) Paragraph indent: 1.5 cm.

e) Font: Times New Roman, size 12, line spacing 1.5.

f) Citations:

  • More than 3 lines: font size 10, single spacing, 4 cm left indent.

  • Up to 3 lines: double quotation marks, incorporated into the paragraph.

g) Titles: in uppercase and bold, left-aligned, without indentation.
Subtitles: in bold, normal case, also left-aligned.

h) Abstract of up to 250 words, in the language of the text, containing: problem, object, objectives, methodology, results, and conclusions.

i) Keywords: between 3 and 5, separated by semicolons.

j) After the abstract, include the translation of the title, abstract, and keywords into a foreign language (preferably English).

k) References:

  • Citations throughout the text must follow the author-date format (APA).
    Examples: (Alves, 2023, p. 13); (Berns, 2022).

  • Footnotes are allowed only for explanations.

  • Final list of bibliographic references: in alphabetical order, left-aligned.

  • Follow ABNT NBR 10520/2023: only the first letter of the surname in uppercase in citations within parentheses.

l) Institutions must be written out in full at their first occurrence, followed by the acronym in parentheses. In subsequent mentions, use only the acronym.
Numbers from one to ten must be written out in words.
Foreign terms must be in italics.

m) It is recommended that articles contain at least the following sections:

  1. Introduction

  2. Development (not with this name, but containing titles/subtitles related to the content)

  3. Conclusions

  4. Bibliographic references

In cases not covered by these guidelines, the current ABNT standards will be adopted.

Submission Preparation Checklist

All submissions must meet the following requirements.

  • This submission meets the requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.
  • This submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration.
  • All references have been checked for accuracy and completeness.
  • All tables and figures have been numbered and labeled.
  • Permission has been obtained to publish all photos, datasets and other material provided with this submission.
