AVALIAÇÃO DO EDIFICADO E ESPAÇO PÚBLICO POR MEIO DO MÉTODO DE AVALIAÇÃO DO ESTADO DE CONSERVAÇÃO DE IMÓVEIS

ESTUDO DE CASO DO BAIRRO DO ARCO DO CEGO EM LISBOA

Abstract

Arco do Cego neighborhood, located in Lisbon, appears in the first half of the 20th century as a landmark in the social housing policy in Portugal. Lisbon found itself faced with housing and social problems, thus a series of legal documents and projects are elaborated as instruments to mitigate and resolve such issues. The Arco do Cego neighborhood emerges in the midst of this scenario. Its construction started in 1918 and carried out over 16 years, in which it is possible to identify the context of fundamental political and social changes in Portugal. This article seeks to create a diagnostic report on the conservation status of the architectural heritage built in a demarcated area in the Bairro do Arco do Cego, as well as to analyze the existing public space at the site. The delimitation was due to the existence of fundamental equipment for the dynamics of the neighborhood, as well as the feasibility of the intended analysis. The main objective of this study is to identify, by means of survey sheets of the Method of Assessment of the State of Conservation of Real Estate, the current state of the buildings in the neighborhood, observing possible architectural mischaracterizations and intervention needs, as well as the interaction of users with the existing public space and its state of conservation.
