IDENTIFICAÇÃO E MAPEAMENTO DAS SUPERFÍCIES ARQUITETURAIS HISTÓRICAS DA RUA DIREITA DE LARANJEIRAS SE/BR

Abstract

The present work aimed to study the urban heritage landscape through its chromatic culture, analyzing the painted surfaces of the built complex of Calçadão Getúlio Vargas in the city of Laranjeiras, the interior of the State of Sergipe in the Brazilian Northeast. From that perspective, were explored through theoretical-historical research, primary bibliographical sources, the oral history of the local community, and iconographic analysis of old photographs. Complementarily, with the help of the Digital Colorimeter and the NCS Color Catalog, applied in situ in the investigation of the facades, the chromatisms on the architectural surfaces of the 23 buildings currently present-day on the Street were identified and cataloged on maps. As result, it was possible to understand and apprehend the chromatic culture present in the urban historical area of the city of Laranjeiras; to demonstrate a scientific methodology that can be very valid for the conservation, prevention, and restoration of material and immaterial cultural heritage; and to witness how the urban landscape presents pictorial transformations over time, enabling the recording and, consequently, the preservation of the memory and identity of the history of a society.
