As novas geografias alimentares: produzindo territórios alimentares no Nordeste

Based on assumptions linked to the recurrent problems associated with the production, marketing and consumption of food. Different research and analysis initiatives are being conducted on food issues in Europe and Brazil. Thus, the proposal in question refers to the importance of studies associated with the 'New Food Geographies (NGA)' approach in the global North. However, the proposal addresses the need to broaden the debate and analyzes carried out by the NGA approach, taking into account agrarian and agricultural precepts and the massive presence of agribusiness in Brazil and in the global South. That said, the article aims to contribute and present the first reflections on the adaptation and construction of this approach for studies in the global South. The text is divided into three parts, the first of which proposes the rescue of the main perspectives and trends of studies inserted in (NGAs) and in the reterritorialization of food. Implicating the use of methodological support from research and national and international literature review, with propositions of adaptation techniques for the approach to be used in studies of the global South. To compose the analysis, we propose the use of precepts linked to the approach to dietary regimes, making reference to temporal and spatial contexts. In this sense, we resort to theoretical-methodological adjustments linked to the multilevel perspective (PMN) and the production of novelties in physical and productive spaces linked to rural settlements in the Brazilian Northeast. Taking into account the construction of alternatives to the current dominant food system and advances in agribusiness.
