¿LA FÍSICA DEPENDE EPISTEMOLÓGICAMENTE DE LA ÉTICA EN EL ESTOICISMO?
UNA RESPUESTA AFIRMATIVA A PARTIR DE LA TEOLOGÍA ESTOICA

Este trabajo sostiene que en el estoicismo la física depende
epistemológicamente de la ética, pues las tesis teológicas sobre que los dioses
son benéficos y cuidan de los seres humanos (las cuales son parte de la física)
dependen, para ser sostenidas o establecidas con contundencia, del conocimiento
del ámbito ético de la filosofía estoica. Es posible apreciar esta dependencia en
la respuesta que los estoicos darían a las críticas que otras escuelas filosóficas
formulan hacia algunas de las tesis teológicas estoicas. No es una cuestión menor si hay este tipo de dependencia. En ella radica el que haya, o no, relaciones fundacionales entre la ética y la física, cuestión que está en boga en los estudios
contemporáneos sobre el estoicismo. La propuesta de este artículo contribuye
a sostener que no las hay.
