This article aims to describe and analyze Vaporwave, an artistic movement that emerged and was popularized exclusively on the Internet. I intend to outline its content, the types of cultural production related to the movement, and the community formed in its surroundings. Afterwards, I intend to understand how the copyright system treats Vaporwave works and the problems of possible incompatibilities between the copyright system and this type of cultural production.
