“Strawberries with Sugar” on Screen
A Pedagogical Experience with Portuguese Students of Physical Education

This paper aims to describe and analyse a pedagogical experience carried on with Portuguese students of Physical Education. This experience consists in the problematisation of a TV series entitled “Strawberries With Sugar” (Morangos Com Açúcar, in Portuguese). The TV programmes are productions which aim to disseminate meanings and to entertain the audience. The Physical Education students, when proceeding to a quality reading of the media, will be able to socially intervene in the future, in an effective manner. As methodological procedures, a 'dense description' of the exchange of meanings among the participants of the survey is made, thus characterising an eminently qualitative study. As a result, the pedagogical experience made feasible for the students the revision of concepts and reflections that contribute for these subjects' personal development and professional training.
