A Musa Calíope e a beleza do canto em Homero e em Hesíodo

Retomando sucintamente o debate sobre o sentido da “inspiração divina” promovida pelas Musas na poesia hexamétrica grega, interpretamos o ‘proêmio’ da Teogonia de Hesíodo (versos 1-115). Partindo de um estudo de Teogonia, 26-28, desenvolvemos a interpretação sobre o emprego épico dos verbos kleío (“glorifico”), ainéo (“exalto”, “aprovo”) e hymnéo (“hineio”) para, em seguida, concentrarmo-nos na relação da Musa Calíope com a compreensão homérica e hesiódica da linguagem política. Propomo-nos a destacar a função de Calíope como mensageira da temporalidade estabelecida pelo reinado olímpico de Zeus.
