Melpomene, Singing and Dancing Tragically

After the historical and phenomenological analysis of the Muses as a cultural phenomenon, according to the Greek myth represented in Homer and Hesiod, this paper will examine the constitution of the allegorical and symbolic attributes of the Muse Melpomene, as well as its expression in Ancient and Modern iconographies.
