Abstract

This paper presents an unpublished translation in Brazil of the sacred music drama Ordo Virtutum, as well as short biographic notes on its author, Hildegard of Bingen, a Benedictine abbess born in the late 11th century and a prominent figure in the 12th century. A few notes concerning the translation are offered in the Introduction.
