Among Lucian of Samosata's dialogues, the Dialogue of the Courtesans has some interesting specificities: inspired by the New Comedy, this dialogue highlights historical types that are quickly characterized, inserted in short narrative frames with plots ranging between climax and anticlimax. In this work, it is intended, then, to analyze how the author elaborates, through two dialogues, consistent frames, emphasizing mainly his strategies to produce comicity in his text. In the production of this effect, two categories, climax and anticlimax, occupy a centralized place in line with other categories. Among the dialogues of the work, Glycerion and Thais and Clonarion and Lena will appear as corpus in this analysis.
