Résumé

Este artigo, como seu título bem o indica, pretende investigar a cena típica do banquete (estrutural neste poema) no episódio de Circe na Odisseia, comparando-a com o padrão mais comum e esperável desta cena e assinalando os pontos em que (em relação a esse padrão) há uma continuidade ou uma divergência e diferença maior, para tentar compreender estas continuidades ou diferenças no contexto singular deste episódio no conjunto das narrativas de Odisseu aos feácios sobre suas viagens maravilhosas quando do retorno da guerra de Troia; pois Circe é uma ninfa feiticeira com a perigosa capacidade de transformar homens em diferentes animais e, de animais, retransformá-los em homens mais jovens do que antes.
