Production and distribution of information as knowledge: some reflections

Abstract

Believing that information can be defined as a process that includes three difterent moments - potential information, information with consolidated value and information regarded as knowledge, the purpose of the present study is to analyse the process of production and distribution of knowledge. It tries to suggest the categories that would allow the understanding of this processo Furthermore it analyses the double function of knowledge concerning its relation with the social: knowledge established in social and instituinte of the socialization process.
