Abstract

The paper analyses how BPM systems can support Knowledge Management (KM) practices. The research model was built upon the interfaces between KM and Process Management and was also based on BPMI and WfMC models. It was concluded, for the studied case, that a BPM system, in spite of helping socialization in a limited manner, presents features that comprehensively support externalization, combination and internalization of knowledge about business processes.
