Abstract

The current structure has created a need for the organizations to maintain the bests Competitive Intelligence’s (IC) practices. The IC is the activity whose objective is the achievement, the analysis and the dissemination of information in order to help the decisions’ process. The present research was developed to visualize the scenario of Competitive Intelligence’s scientific production in the School of Information Science (FCI) of Brasilia’s University (UnB). The courses that are part of FCI are the graduation courses of Archives Administration, Library Science, Museology, besides the Post Graduation Program in Information Science, which offers master’s degree and doctorate. The scientific production’s survey was made by the bibliometrics method and the information was collected in the UnB’s Institutional Repository, using the key word “Competitive Intelligence”. There are 350 documents produced by the School of Information Science in the institutional repository, of these 37 documents of scientific production about Competitive Intelligence were recuperated: 17 are articles published in reviews; 4 are papers presented and published in conference proceedings; 10 are dissertations and 6 are theses. This production shows that FCI produces knowledge and publishes the results in IC, area that is developing and consolidating in Brazil.
