Abstract

Contemporary phenomena as information and communication media are little explored in the Information Science (IS) context. This paper aims to present a reflection on the role of media as information processing environments that cause changes in the messages information and knowledge creation and social sharing ecosystem. It points out that the situations informational contexting in the media environments facilitates access to information and knowledge production regarding its use in order to understand more effective strategic possibilities of mediation: goal to be achieved by the society and by an entrepreneurial Information Science, which has the appropriate strategies and methodologies for knowledge meta-transverse fields creation to solve problems caused by intersections and social frictions among science, technology and knowledge, which means and ICT effective contribution for the optimized use of the media potentials.
