The Information age: aspects related to the development of information technologies

Abstract

Information is, nowadays, one of the most valuable organizational assets. Some authors call this moment ‘the Information age”, emphasizing its social, economic, political and psychological impacts. This article analyses this new vision and defines concepts related to information technology tools applied by some organizations.
