Library and teachers: conceptions and values for teachers from kindergarten to the 4th grade of primary school
Abstract
This paper discusses the conceptions and values of the library for in-training teachers. The analysis demonstrates that the library carries out the functions of informant, entertainment and social agent, in addition to the role of providing support for school work. As the role of the library in the personal/school context started to be understood, its use gradually became a basic need for the teaching/learning process rather than an obligatory aspect of the educational system.Downloads
