Medical librarians: the discourse about the profession
Abstract
The paper describes discourses, motivations, and opinions about the librarian profession in a medical school, with the use of the Collective subject speech methodology. The speeches point out a number of ways people choose and practice the profession, such as personal satisfaction. Updating and specialization needs are identified, concerns with the image demanded by the profession are described, as well as issues related to job stability challenges and specific difficulties and facilities of the area.Downloads
