The human factor and the competence development in information units

Abstract

Firstly, the text considers the evolution of man´s view based on the Administration General Theories. Along with the emergence of system analysis comes the concept of the functional man, who is placed in the center of the contemporary society. From within this contemporary society - resulting from the strong social, political and cultural recently occured transformations - the meaning and value of the units of information, responsible for the management and technical functions, arise. The text emphasizes the role of the manager of these units, with regard to the competence development necessary to the human factor, pointing out his social and pedagogical role facing the new demands of society.
