Visualizing the Library and Information Science in Argentina: analysis of the documents published by the Association of Graduate Librarians of Republica Argentina (ABGRA) 1990-2001

Abstract

Through the analysis of the documents published by the Association of Graduate Librarians of The República Argentina (ABGRA) it is tried to trace a panorama of the library and information science in this country. The congress that it celebrates this professional organization annually are those of more antiquity and prestige in the discipline. From an empiric focus relative variables are observed to the thematic ones approached, used methods, characteristic of the responsibility and citation patterns. Methodologies of qualitative and quantitative court are applied. The studied period is that of 1990-2001.
