This study aimed to reflect on ethnic-racial relations in video games, highlighting the approaches on the representativeness of black women characters. The study had a qualitative nature and was developed through exploratory and documentary research, focusing only on texts expressed on Google sites on the proposed theme. An intentional sample composed of the first 10 occurrences of sites on Google, containing expert opinions on video games and ethnic-racial studies, was part of the study. Data were analyzed using the content analysis technique, based on three categories delineated a priori, 1- black female supporting characters and/or protagonists; 2- importance and impact of video games for ethnic-racial discussion. 3- present racial stereotypes and suggestions for evolution. The results point to the consideration of video games as legitimate spaces for ethnic-racial reflections, as well as a slight increase in the representation of black female characters as supporting characters, but not as protagonists, and the responsibility of developers about the insertion of diverse cultures in the narratives. This theme is still not widespread, compromising the perspective of identifying black women with existing characters.
