This article aims to analyze soldier houses as spaces of leisure, shelter, and sociability during the 1932 Constitutionalist Revolution in São Paulo (Brazil). These spaces not only offered material and moral support to combatants but also played a strategi c role in the war effort by sustaining the morale of the Constitutionalist troops, who fought for the country’s reconstitutionalization. Despite the harsh conditions imposed by the conflict, the soldier houses provided moments of recreation and physical an d emotional recovery, functioning as true hubs of daily conviviality and resistance. The study broadens the historical approach to leisure, understanding it as a social practice that generates bonds and a sense of belonging. The sources used include contem porary newspapers, military bulletins, and campaign diaries, which reveal the importance of these spaces in the course of the war.
