Abstract

This study aimed to map productions related to leisure, bodily practices and LGBTI+ population in leisure journals. The search was carried out in October 2021, in Licere and Revista Brasileira de Estudos do Lazer, and in the international journals Leisure Studies and Leisure Sciences. Sixteen manuscripts that met the inclusion criteria were selected, four in Brazilian journals and 12 manuscripts in international journals. It was possible to observe that most of the articles understand sport as a multidimensional phenomenon, and 14 of the manuscripts discuss about “sport and LGBTI+”. Consequently, this seems to be the field that has the greatest theoretical contribution on this theme. However, this result shows a lack of studies that comprehensively consider the universe of the body movement culture, beyond the court, the arena, the sports spectacle crowd, especially when considering the various possibilities of leisure experiences with bodily practices.
