TRADUÇÃO PARA O PORTUGUÊS DO BRASIL E VALIDAÇÃO DA LEISURE SATISFACTION SCALE (LSS)

Abstract

This study aimed to translate into Brazilian Portuguese and analyze the content validity of the Leisure Satisfaction Scale (LSS). Adults of both sexes, workers in the industrial sector of Greater Florianópolis – SC/Brazil, participated in the study. The sample consisted of 180 workers for reproducibility analysis and 992 for internal consistency indicators. In addition, 11 specialists in the field of leisure contributed to the process of cross-cultural adaptation and content validity. The specialists attributed satisfactory values for the content analysis in the items clarity and language (CVCt = 0.800), practical relevance (CVCt = 0.780) and theoretical relevance (X = 4.10; SD = 0.74). Reproducibility indices through intraclass correlation analysis were considered adequate in all domains of the LSS (psychological = 0.785; educational = 0.817; social = 0.800; relaxing = 0.850; physiological = 0.930; and aesthetic = 0.830). In addition, Cronbach's Alpha presented a value of 0.946. It can be said that the Brazilian version of the LSS constitutes a valid instrument for application in a sample of adults, presenting adequate psychometric indicators of validity, reproducibility and internal consistency for the investigation of leisure satisfaction.
